Daniel is particularly interested in applying data science methods to analyze large quantities of qualitative data.

Daniel received his Master of Public Health with a focus in Epidemiology from Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology part-time from Georgia State University’s School of Public Health under the guidance of Dr. Alexander Kirpich.

During his Ph.D., Daniel aims to expand his skills in time-series modeling and other statistical methods, deepen his understanding of infectious disease, and explore intersections between infectious disease and injury within communities. Daniel aspires to leverage his Ph.D. to become a prominent public health leader within the CDC.
