Aleksandr Shishkin graduated from Voronezh State University in Russia in 2010 with a major in microelectronic physics. After completing his degree, Aleksandr made a career transition into the field of Information Technology. He initially worked as a system administrator, gaining valuable experience in effectively managing and maintaining computer systems. Motivated by his passion for technology and software development, Aleksandr subsequently pursued a role as a software engineer. His journey led him to work for a communication equipment company, where he played a vital role in developing and optimizing various software solutions. Continuing his professional growth, Aleksandr embarked on a project focused on developing a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). This experience deepened his understanding of designing and refining database systems, further enhancing his technical expertise in this domain.

Recognizing the increasing importance of data in today's world, Aleksandr eventually decided to pursue his Ph.D. in Publich Health with concentration in Epidemiology at the School of Public Health at Georgia State University. Currently, his academic focus revolves around infectious disease modeling through coding, statistics, and data science. This multidisciplinary field enables Aleksandr to leverage his programming skills to analyze complex datasets and extract valuable insights, contributing to advancements in the field of public health.
